Wallingford Dog Training Club
About Us
WDTC currently provides agility and flyball training. Training sessions are taken by experienced club members who regularly attend courses by external instructors, to keep training methods right up to date. As well as regular weekly training sessions, the club holds a variety of social events for members, their families and friends throughout the year.
The club takes an active role in the community and encourages the public to recognise the pleasure that a well behaved dog can give. WDTC supports this objective by staging various public demonstrations during the summer months at fetes, open days etc.

Joining the club
The annual subscription is £8 for a single adult, £12 for an adult couple and £16 for a family. OAPs and anyone in full-time education is half price. You will be given a membership form when you are accepted onto one of the courses. Please note that we have a rather long waiting list for agility - like many other clubs in our area.
Background information
Training sessions are taken by experienced club members who regularly attend training courses in order to keep up to date with modern training methods.
The club takes an active role in the community and encourages the public to recognise the pleasure that a well behaved dog can give. In support of this objective WDTC stages a number of public demonstrations during the summer months at fetes, open days and country events.
Club Newsletter
A club newsletter, Watchdog, is published quarterly to keep members informed of club activities and to act as a forum for discussion. The Club handbook is issued to new members.
Library & Shop
The Club maintains a small library of training books and videos, available on free loan to members. Tea and coffee are freely available at each venue to enable members to take a break and get to know each other. A variety of sports clothing, embroidered with the club badge, is available for the more fashion conscious member to purchase together with training equipment including soft leads in club colours.
Annual subscriptions to the club are due on January 1st each year and the AGM is held in the first quarter of the year.
A current vaccination certificate must be produced for each new dog attending training.
